Should kids under 16 be on social media?
Should kids under 16 be on social media? The crew's gut answer is no, but Bobby makes a more nuanced case: yes, with a supervised on-ramp. His analogy is the learner's permit. You don't hand a 16 year old the keys with zero practice, so you shouldn't hand a teenager an unsupervised account either. He argues for a slow, guided start around 13 or 14 so that by the time they get full access, they already understand how to handle strangers in their DMs, cyberbullying, and the mental health side of it. Not everyone agrees, and the "why not just wait until 18?" pushback makes for a good debate. Where do you land? Tell us in the comments.
